The most iconic landmark in Kanistro is the small, stone-built Chapel of Agios Nikolaos. Perched right on the edge of the rocks, this post-Byzantine monument was built using stones from ancient temples. 📍 How to Get There
Kanistro is located at the southernmost tip of the Kassandra peninsula. While the journey is beautiful, it requires a vehicle as there is no direct public transport to this secluded cape.
- By Car: From Thessaloniki, follow the main road towards Moudania and then head to the western side of Kassandra. Drive through the village of Paliouri and continue south for about 15 minutes. The road is fully paved and leads directly to the St. Nicholas chapel.
- Parking: There is plenty of open space near the chapel and the surrounding coves where you can safely park your vehicle.
